This research paper investigates the accuracy and clinical applicability of zirconia dental crowns designed using artificial intelligence (AI) compared to those designed by human dental technicians using digital software. The study involved in vitro testing on dental models and in vivo evaluations with human participants receiving molar crown restorations. Results indicated that AI-designed crowns exhibited comparable accuracy and fit to digitally designed crowns, meeting clinical requirements despite some morphological and spatial design differences. The authors conclude that AI holds significant potential for dental restoration but requires further clinical validation with larger sample sizes.
