This paper reviews existing research on how gender impacts dental students in endodontics, specifically focusing on learning, stress, confidence, preparedness, and career choices. The analysis of multiple studies reveals that female students often underestimate their abilities and experience higher stress levels compared to their male counterparts, despite often achieving similar or better academic results. While gender influences learning strategies and perceptions of preparedness, its impact on choosing endodontics as a specialty appears less pronounced than in other dental fields. Ultimately, the review emphasizes the need for further research and gender-aware approaches in endodontic education to better support all students.
